Context:

I'm trying to make a kitchen counter with Bamboo, Maple, White Oak, or Acacia.

Admittedly, I now live in the states, where Bamboo is in short supply and Beech or Birch is insanely expensive. Oak is hard to come by in s4s slabs for some reason idk why.

Acacia and Maple seem like my best options here.

Plan:

I was planning on using 2-3 rounds of Tung Oil + Limonene as the sealer with 2-3 layers of Osmo Polyx as the topcoat.

Questions:

- Does anyone know of someone who's taken this approach?
- Considering I'm looking for something that stands up well to cleaners, other liquids, greasy things, and general kitchen wear and tear without having to be constantly maintained (never mineral oil, never cut or prep directly on surface, and no leaving hot things directly on the countertop)
