    Default Myrtle/huon pine - finish

    Hi all

I am after suggestions for what finish to apply to some myrtle lamp bases (with huon pine inlay). I have neils book but am still not sure what finish to use.

After something to bring out the colour without looking too plasticy.

    cheers

I love the UBeaut White Shellac with Traditional Wax finish. No yellowing, just brings out the pure colour of the wood.

I used the White Shellac on my camphor laurel shelf and was totally amazed to find the CL actually had some interesting grain. http://www.usq.edu.au/users/hoeyw/im...ertopright.jpg

If your piece is turned, there are other equivalent UBeaut wax products.

    hope this helps
