    Wink Tung oil/Linseed Oil/Polyurethane mixture

    G,day.
I watch the David Marks wood works show and now i am wondering if anyone has ever used the mixture that he uses.
A mix of tung oil, linseed oil and polyurethane.
his web site refers to the products Seal-A-Cell and Arm-R-Seal.
Has anyone used anything similar to this in OZ and if so what name does it go by over here??
    Regards
    Les

I have used a mixture that I made up myself of

    3 polyurethane : 2 linseed oil : 2 turps

Slop it on really wet, leave to soak in for 10-15 then wipe off really dry. Repeat up to 6-8 times. The finish is very smooth and durable - I used to refinish with one coat once or twice a year.

I am now a devotee of 1-2 coats of danish oil followed by Feast Watson Carnauba Wax.

    Good luck!

Les - That mix is also called Danish Oil so is the one used by s_m and another dozen variations all of which include polyurethane.

    Cheers - Neil
