Repair advice needed please- Rocking Horses/West Melb
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum world so please forgive me if this is in the wrong area.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a talented restorer, carpenter etc in Melbourne's west that may be able to offer me some advice on how to repair our recent shipment of hand carved teak Rocking Horses, that unfortunately sustained some injuries whilst on their journey to Australia on the high seas! Damages include ears that have made clean snaps off at the base, and nails that have gauged into their bodywork (mostly to the lower legs) protruding from their pine shipping crates.
Our horses have very intricate hand tooled detail and this is the first time we've had damage like this occur. if I could avoid having to have them completely sanded back and re stained/ varnished (I can post photos to demonstrate their finish?) this would be ideal. The horses are too lovely not to have a Pro look at them and offer some hope, and I was devasted to see the damage... Any recommendations?
Many thanks.

Yes, some pictures will be nice. Where do the horses come from and who made them?
