Whatever you do don't thin down the U-Beaut Sanding Sealer.

LOL - thin it down any more, and it'll be a homeopathic remedy rather than a finish.....

Hang on ..."Homeopathic Finishes".....there's an idea for a whole new product range.

"Homeopathic Shellac": Alcohol that has been waved over the top of a packet of dry shellac flakes. Available in blonde or orange.

Even better, sniff the ethyl alcohol enough and you won't care about finish quality.

    ..

IIRC acc. to ubeaut's instructions, when their std Shellac mix is past its use-by date you can thin away. A good way to use up the product.

Every woodie's shed should have a bottle of ubeaut Shellac; good for all sorts of things. Just put it in the fridge if you have hot summers.
    Cheers, Ern

Just by way of postscript, I returned a 'functional' Box Elder bowl this arvo; had had the n/c SS and ubeaut wax treatment.

Came up a treat with the same finish.

As it would've with shellac SS.

PS This time with clear n/c SS from Paintmobile with gen purpose paint thinners. Have been using stuff from The Woodsmith.
    Cheers, Ern
