Default "Sanding Sealer" - what is it?

We're not talking about the stuff we used years ago on model planes are we? (Can't use the word - might get me filtered out).

What's the best way of buying it?

If I am applying hard shellac, and I use sealer first, do I still need to use regular shellac before the hard shellac?

    I do
If I do not clearly express what I mean, it is either for the reason that having no conversational powers, I cannot express what I mean, or that having no meaning, I do not mean what I fail to express. Which, to the best of my belief, is not the case.
