You should see the wood from the now 123 year old Oak Forest in Harcourt Victoria. They grew so fast that the growth rings on some about 30 years ago were almost an inch apart. Just not normal... although, they were grown for their acorns, not their wood. The large quantities of harvested acorns were user in the local tanning industry.

Most of the original Valonia Oaks are long gone. However many of the other varieties are now really well established but I'll bet they all have very wide growth rings.

Great place to visit if you're a knight in shiny armour. There are often Renaissance and Medieval weddings and festivals that take place there, usually with sword fighting/play, jousting and such.
