Default Shellawax Cream - how does it wear??

i am planning to finish a guitar body [southern myrtle] using shellawax cream

    some questions
is it a complete finish? ie [no need for sealer etc]
does using eee ultra shine after shellawax add a lot of extra lustre or gloss?
how does it wear over time? [expensive guitar = many years of use]

it will be in contact with sweaty forearms but shouldnt get much contact with hard objects.

It needs elbow grease to get it to shine, buffing on a wheel etc.
It is best suited to turned work for that reason.

I find that it dulls off with handling, worse in warm weather.

The EEE is a polish like a cutting compond.
It can be used before the Shelawax to get the surface really shiny but it will also need buffing to get it to work.

I sometimes use the EEE after Shelawax if I have been careless & ended up with an uneven finish.

Yeah, it wouldn't be my choice of finish for a hard-wearing surface, not least cos as Cliff says it's a friction polish so application is an issue.

i am going to give danish oil and wax a go
F&W scandinavian oil and gillies carnauba

from what i read DO is pretty popular amongst luthier types and makes a hard wearing protective natural looking finish

i am a bit over the mirror gloss look and all the work that goes into it
i got that down pretty pat after 8 projects and now i want to try something a bit quicker - i got a tele project i need finished ready for the stage in 2 weeks
no time for fancy gloss finishes
