Default What spray lacquer do you use

Hi. For those of you who spray lacquer (nitrocellulose or acrylic) i'm wondering what brand you use and where do you buy it.
I'm only a small user so but have been shocked at the price quoted and would like to buy it better.
    Cheers

    How much are you paying?

They are all around $70-$80 a litre in 20 litre drums.

$80 per litre in 20 litre drums works out at $1600 for 20 litres .
And I thought it was dear here at $270 per 20 litre drum (thats the grossly inflated over-the-counter price for anyone silly enough to pay it).

I think from memory I paid about $50 for my last 4 litre tin of Ameron. Be more than 12 months ago.

Wattyl Stylwood 30% nitro - approx $270 per 20 lt. I only use small quantities on turnings so 4lts at a time @ $85.

OOPS I was thinking of 4 litre tins.

$270 is about right for 20 litres but as has been posted you pay a lot more in 4 litre tins.

I found it to be pretty good.

The shop I get my stuff from, used to stock Mirotone many moons ago, but they stopped getting it, and started to stock the Ameron stuff, I gave it a go and liked it , so have been using it ever since. I dont use a hell of a lot of it, but have probably gone through about 20 litres in the last 6 or 8 years. I think from memory it might have needed an extra coat to get the same level of finish as the Mirotone, but as it was a fair bit cheaper I could accept that.

I think this is the one I have been using, will check next time I am down at the shed.
