Unhappy Best finish for a Walnut table?

I am building a table with American Walnut and really need to know a good finish for it. I want something that gives it a glossy look, protection and really brings out the colour and grain. All help will be appreciated,

    Antonio.

Better to have too much then not enough. Anyway you only have to look at the first dozen or so not at all of the 31 million unless you want to.

French polish will give you two out of three and can be easily repaired in the event of damage. I understand that Ubeaut hard shellac will also give extra protection.

Default Finish for dining room table

    Hi Antonio,,

I'd go for a two pack lacquer, spray applied ,two coats plus sealer coat at 60% gloss. Sand to 400 grit first and denib between coats as necesaety. Good luch with it
