    Default Timbermate Advice

    Hi
I have used Timbermate as a Grain filler and now want to put a water based dye over it.

Will is soften up with the Dye?

    Thanks

Probably. Timbermate is a water based putty.

Once the Timbermate is hard and thoroughly dry there shouldn't be any problem, as been using the Wattyl Brand Wood Putty for," Yonks, " which is also a Water-based putty, under all types of wood stains, dyes, and Acrylic, ( water-based ), sealers, paints, etc., without any problems.
