Default How do i treat this bare wood?

I have seen many pieces of outdoor furniture for sale that appears glossy or matt in finish, almost shiny and supersmooth.

    How is this done?

I have some exterior jarrah and wandoo on my Edwardian house that is discoloured and gone grey.

I have sanded some back and the original colour has returned.

I have clear varnished a small section. The colour looks great, however, the texture is still quite rough.

What i want to know is: how do i go from sanded wood to completed totally smooth finished wood?

You can do with a outdoor finishing materials.
The outdoor pant material is the same like the indoor finishing materials but it is designed for outdoor.

If you want to do with varnish, please check if your varnish is for outdoor finish.
To get the smooth finish, you need to apply enough clear coating and do good sanding either in the raw wood and in the sealer and top coat application.

To get the finishing result like you want i think the step that you need to do is:

    1. Sand the wood
    2. apply stain if you want to make any color
    3. apply sealer and sand the sealer
    4. apply the top coat

    thanks
