Australian Blackwood Drinks coasters
Hello all,
I've been donated a thick branch of cured Blackwood, that I'm going to make drinks coasters out of. This means it'll regularly be in contact with hot cups and probably moisture. They're going to be gifts, so I don't want them to require maintenance.
My question is do you have any advice on the best / most durable finish I should apply to them?
Any help gratefully received,
- Martin

Rustins Plastic Coating, however if you are intending to cut "rounds" straight through the branch they will eventually split
