Aargh! Time for the sander

My finish was: Sanding Sealer>Prooftint>thin coat of poly. The intent being that the poly would protect the stain (glaze really as I had put down the sanding sealer first) as I cut through the colour to provide the decorative contrast. Obviously not enough poly as the router template scratched through and took some of the stain as well. Bad enough, will just touch up the colour, it is a glaze so should be doable if not ideal. Nope: the new coat of Prooftint took off the poly and the previous coat of Prooftint (not sure about the sealer, didn't stay around to look that close). Everything was dry, poly had been down for at least a week.

The sander is the only rescue (except maybe sticking a little closer to the instructions - stain on bare timber or mixed with poly).
