Default Wipe on Poly, how many coats?

I have so far applied 4 coats of WOP to the coffee table that I am making, sanding 320 grit between each coat.

    2 Questions:

    1. How many coats would you need for a coffee table?

    2. How long to let it cure before I rub it out and use EEE and then WAX etc?

    Cheers

On a dining table that I was restoring I gave it seven coats, only sanding between the first two coats.

No other finish, like wax, was necessary.

5 coats are more than enough for me. Light sand between every coat. It is a polyU finish, so don't wax or polish.

Surface can be used overnight but leave it for a day or 2 if you want to be sure.
