Nice work there Andrew. Simple joinery that sets off the grain. It lets the grain do all the show boating. Are you doing a face plate for the amp chassis? Reccon would look awesome with a black face plate and gold knobs. But hey thats just my taste (or lack there of).

    Cheers

any trophy engraver will do it - submit in corel draw or pdf
use thin stuff like <.5mm - they have various colours and engrave through to a 2nd layer of a different colour - gold on black black on gold etc etc

make sure you print it, cut it out and check it fits the amp before sending it in
guess how i know to do that??

heres one i did a couple months ago

That certainly popped nicely, Andy. Great job on the choice of timbers .

I looked into getting alloy and stainless plates made up for cases and got quoted an
exorbitant amount unless I got around 100 in one go. More you order the more the costs decrease overall. Could have been looking in the wrong place for them though......

Hey Ray, What was the place down Rushdale Street you got your early ones from. They certainly were great looking plates.

those guys wont answer my job queries anymore
you could try tim at laser solutions in rowville
the aly plates work out round $10 each for business card size and had to buy 20

the faceplate above is a stick on and cost around $12.00 -
its very basic but you could get quite fancy - depends on how long you got to lay it all out - that one is a 5 minute job and mainly was to cover up some ugly crap on the chassis

if your talking about name plates, then, im all good, i know people who know people, samples are in the works, various materials (stainless, brass, plastics, etc)
    free of charge for me

ill just have to send them the design or the face plate and see if it something they will do for me aswell

    decent prices

    on another note,
i went to a gig today,
then ate way too much maccas and lonestar, and the giant brownie with whipped cream and fudge didnt help, so now, im tired and fat
