The back of the ukulele is not so interesting, but here it is.

Shwato, I haven't done an acoustic bass before, but really, it's just a variation of the acoustic guitar. If you're after a good book on guitar construction, try Cumpiano and Natleson's "Guitarmaking Tradition and Technology". Another little known book I've mentioned before on another thread is David Russel Young's "The Steel String Guitar: Construction & Repair". Both books were written a couple of decades ago or more, Cumpiano's book is considered by most to be the "bible" of guitar making, it's great, but I actually prefer Young's sensible and logical methods. I still refer to my dog-eared copy.
I'm not aware of any book dealing primarily with acoustic bass construction.
The acoustic guitar is a different beast from its electric cousin, but building one is well worth the extra effort. Good luck and have fun.

That doesn't look like any uke I have seem.

    It looks great.

I like the pilchards and the tern. Reminds me that I should dust off my rock fishing gear.
