Thanks Fellas
Mark, OK sprung. Should pay more attention to the background in the future. Check the new thread started for that build. Call it a sneak preview
Cheers

Thanks Bob,
Yep he was very happy indeed. We put it through it's paces by winding out an old fender bassman. The tones were very smooth and rich. The neck pickup had deep clean tones which just creamed the valves. Nice mid tones which was highly attributed to the blackwood and being quite weighty it did have Alot of punch when played hard which is one of the great things about a single cut. The bridge pickup just growled but had a smooth overdrive. Bassmans are smooth anyway but the A2 pickup had a little less twang and not so punchy which added to the strong mid range you get with blackwood and complemented the timber well I thought especially with the overdrive pushed. Together the pickups stood bold and thick pushing the mids very prominently with definition in the highs and the lows just stood back ever so slightly however the lows could be pushed forward by rolling the volume slightly on the bridge pickup. To be honest the coil tap was nothing special, however it is not set up for single coil and really only had a place for clean tones offering a slightly brighter more articulated clean tone. All in all I was very happy as well and I will try and get Al to offer his feedback as well.
Thanks for watching
Peter

Beautiful work. You didn't happen to record anything with it before handing it over so we could hear it in action did you?
