Amp and cabinet build
Gday all.
I thought I would share my latest build.
Its a 15W valve guitar amp from Valve Heaven called the Lamington amp.
It has a switch to lower the output to 5W.
Preamp vales are 12AX7 and output valves are EL84
Its pretty basic. Just has controls for drive, bass, treble and volume.
I will make a cabinet for it soon.
The speaker cabinet is nothing special just 19mm ply. Open back style covered in vinyl. It has a Celestian G12 greenback.
Sounds pretty good.
Plans for the amp are easy to follow if anyone wants to make one.

Looks great. I've been wanting to try an amp build. How much did the kit cost you?

kit cost
You don't buy it as a kit. The website gives you a list of parts. It costs around $200 to build depending on where you get components from.
Go to Valve Heaven - DIY Amp
Its all there.
There are plenty of other sites with info if you dig around to build other amps.
This was the cheapest and easiest build I could find. Thought I would start off with something simple to get started.
May build something a bit more extravagant next.

Nice work legin, I've had all the parts for a Lamington build for a couple of years but never got around to putting it together.
How does it sound?

Yeah it is an actual lamington tray.
The amp sounds as good if not better than most smaller amps I have played.
Good clean tones and excellent overdriven tone.
