Thanks Gents.
I'll get some of the fretboard oil onto it hopefully this afternoon and see how it comes out.
Martin, I'd say you're right about the cut of wood on the Indian Rosewood. My inexperience is showing here... I just took a quick glance and decided it looked nice without even a thought as to the orientation. A lesson learned there. It was cheap though compared to the online luthier's supplies back and sides sets, I guess that should have raised some queries as it it's suitability.

Steve, you didn't get that IRW off a Melbourne based Ebay seller did you?
The wood will make a perfectly ok guitar but my preference is for quarter or near quarter sawn IRW.

I'm pretty sure I haven't learnt my lesson yet.
A good weekend for finishing off some projects. Got a coat of the fretboard oil onto the ukulele and it looks fantastic. Then filled the low nut slot with a small dab of superglue and reset the string action so the buzz is gone. The uke is complete.

Also managed to finish off my amp project last night and it sounds sweet. I'll be building a wooden head for this to go into and a 2 x 10 cabinet to go with it.
