    Default Blackbutt bass body

    Gday all, just wondering if anyone has used blackbutt as a bass body?
    Mostly interested in its stability and tone. I already know that it should survive a bush fire...

    i looed at a couple of blackbutt slabs at the place i get my timber..

    not sure if they are any good for instruments though,
    likes to split doesnt it?
