Thanks Deano, Ray, mongrel and floody.
Special thanks to Ray for routing out a set of his tele templates for me around 18 months ago. Body shape is based off them.
Sorry Floody !!
Mate, I'm not even happy with my build quality and hopefully never will be. If I ever do, I'll know I've become complacent and accepting 2nd rate. Every new build is about striving to be better than the last through experience, perseverance, learning from errors and working out how to fix them along the way.
My take is that there is no such thing as a perfectly constructed guitar. It all depends on how close you are looking at it. Pull out the magnifying glass and you'll find something, it's all a matter of where your self-imposed boundary lies between acceptable and not acceptable.
Another point I've always maintained is to work as slowly as you have to, so you produce the quality you're striving for. The speed will come later through familiarity.
Off the soapbox now...................................
2nd coat of 50/50 thinned precat nitro on and sucking in.

truss rod cover is a great design and a brilliant idea.....
question. what type of headstock decals are you using? they look really good and i see no lines or ripples or discolouration or anything.... very clean.
im about to get mine printed at a factory owned by a family friend, ex car/bike sprayer....
he said waterslide is a thing of the past as far as he is concerned, he suggested i use the same stuff they are using on motorbike tanks now... which i will most likely do ....
(when i finally decide which designs i like best)
im interested in seeing how close a fit these humbuckers are inside the routs.

Wow, well the refinishing stage has passed and amazingly by jumping into the
time machine, I've managed to transport this guitar four weeks forward and miraculously skip
the nitro drying stage.
Thanks Dr. Who for the use of the Tardis !!!
I inadvertantly passed through the rubdown and buff stage which I'm willing to jump back into the Tardis and revisit if a special request is issued. A few pics and explanation on methods but informative none the less.
