Looking for some advice on how to create the truss adjusting nut cavity without taring it out.
I've already had two goes at it and had to fill it twice, how frustrating Grrrr
regards to all

dont worry about it.....
just do it and round over the edges with some sandpaper (the edges will more than likely get bruised while adjusting the truss rod anyway..... a round over will help stop large bruises...)
it will all be covered anyway

Hi Wal I see the guitars comming along well . To avoid tearout Just mark the perimeter or outline and scribe it out with a utility knife. Then you can route to the line , and the grain will come away where you have scibed to.

Hey hey Ralph!! how goes it mate? thanks for the tip but I was hoping to drill it out so I could achieve a nice flat surface for the nut washer to butt up against. Routing would give me a rounded end.
And thanks floody and And Goldy oh I mean Andrew
