    Good onya Floody.

This certainly came out a million bucks. Sounds like a possible commission build in waiting with the bass, mate. Well done.

Which one? He's got six of the scrolls. With the whammy and without.

Funny stuff with commissions, I tend to reply to emails with ballpark figures and then not worry about too much fine detail at this point. The real custom stuff is impossible to quote without going through everything thoroughly. If they get back to me with an interest, then we start talking about the nuts and bolts, including a nailing down of the final end figure and when things will commence.

Some are serious and then there are some that seem to email as a form of entertainment.
It's not too hard to pick.

    You'll be right, Floody

Thanks for the advice Stu. We were looking at the one without the whammy to keep the costs down. Im also trying to source some diff timbers. I been looking at Oregon wild woods and im prob gonna order some walnut and myrtlewood tops from them. Im really after some different body blanks but. Some walnuts, maple and such.

Those Hipshots are sexy. One day ill buy one and build a guitar to suit. "one day"
Ive not done any thing to my builds since my last post. Ive just been building up wood stock. The ground up rebuild of my tonner has got me enthralled atm. Meantime, youve been helping keep the fire alight.

Just finished up building the Baritone. I still have to apply the finish. Havent completely decided what im going with yet. I want to keep the natural look and feel so Im going to use some kind of oil. Not really sure what kind yet. I was thinking tung oil seems its available locally. Whats the difference between danish and tung?

    Anyway, on to some pics.

Im really happy with how the heel came out. Its super comfortable and fret access is unrealy. Not sure if im gonna keep it or try sell it yet

    Looks great Floody.

I think the difference between the oils that Danish oil is just Tung oil with some resins added to help it produce a hard surface. Could be proven otherwise though...

Bit of an update. Starting oiling yesterday, Ive gone with tung oil at this point. It darkened the wood a little more than I wanted but its starting to grow on me. Couple of pics

    Appreciate your thoughts guys

Thanks for following the build guys. Now I can get back onto the Baritone finally lol
I have used those Guitar heads pickups on several guitars now too keep the price down, they are good value for money, have you tried their P90's? Sweeet pups, not Bare Knuckle or Seymour but good quality non the less, nice build. Cheers Paul.
