Yea they really are great value for money. They smoke the stock pickups I had in my Ibanez..They dont however, beat the emg 81/85 that i have since put in my ibanez haha. I think this baritone will also receive emgs!

Nice one Floody but seriously you need to stay off the grog when you take photos.
Or is it fuzzy cause I've been on the grog? .<style type="text/css">p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; line- 120%; }</style> Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Abert_Einstein.

Old Scrambletown, spent 33 years of my life there. The thing with the Bare Knuckles is they look expensive, but when you go through the checkout it takes the VAT off and they are comparative in price to SD's, EMG's, cheers Paul.

Really? So how much does it work out to bring in a set? A set of emgs runs around 250. They're completely solderless but which is a joy lol

From memory my last set of P90's ( a Nantucket and a supermassive) were just on $200 landed, about $250 for Humbuckers with covers. Cheers Paul.

I built my son a neck thru F-Bird with a Humbucker sized P90 (Mississippi Queen) in the neck and a Warpig in the bridge. Seemed a weird match to me but some of his mates were using that setup and it worked suprising well. Warpigs or Nailbombs if you want really high output pickups. I put a set of Crawlers in a customers Les Paul style gold top I built him, and upon playing his few chords he looked and said he could kiss me, I settled on the cash though! I have to build another Les paul style for a young guy soon he wants warpigs but I want him to try a pair of Pig 90's. And I have hijacked your thread, sorry mate, Cheers Paul.

Its all good man. All guitar talk is welcome.
Ive heard nailbombs a bit but Im still keen to use actives. I installed a set of guitarheads actives in an epiphone the other week for a friend and for $120 all up, what a great buy!!! They sound unreal!! They sound a little thin when played alongside my emgs but at half the price, they are tops!! I may use them for this build!

Yeah my guitar teacher uses EMG actives in his Charvel, they sound great ( but so does he!) Funny when they run out of electricity though

Pretty much finished up on this one today. Still waiting for pickups to arrive but I thought id string it up today and set it all up so it can settle while I wait for pickups. I was really surprised with how good it sounds acoustic!! Very loud and resonant. I cant wait to plug it in!!!
A few pics..

Neck looks nice and long. So what pickups did you end up going with?
Im waiting for Z-Buckers myself. They appear to sound like what i want. If there not ill use Mick Bs and put them in something else. They were about 80 bucks for the pair so my expectations aint to high, proof is in the testing i guess.
Your guitar looks nice Floody, Good job

Thanks mate. The neck is indeed long lol. It's tuned in c at the moment and its nice and tight. I could easily go to a without it getting muddy.
I'm waiting on hexbuckers lol. The guitarheads pickups actually have a really really good sound. I installed there Actives in a friends guitar. For 100, it screams.
