im hungry
and
AND
dadovfor is a pain in the A$$ hahaha
alright....
designed my headstock shape and made up a headstock template.....
mark up the neck blank using the right side to measure from (that side is planed flat)
set up my trimmer with a 7mm bit andget ready to rout the truss rod slot....
4 or 5 passes later i have a 7 x 10 trussrod rout
the adjustment end is about 13mm deep (thats what was needed for the truss rod im using to sit flat)
not a nice surprise under the surface... damn knot...
note to self.... look timber over more carefully before buying it lol.... oh well
trussrod fitted...
nice and snug..
rough cut the neck....
and headstock....
put your neck template on and use a bearing bit to rout your taper, then stick on your headstock template and rout that.....
now time to get the angle on the headstock....
mark it up, cut the face off with a saw and use my plane to flatten it to the line
hmm whats under the masking tape
i need a bandsaw....

FIXED....
are you happy now you pain in the butt???
alright where was i....
fretboard
(yes the binding is around a cm over sized on each side will clean it up when its glued on)
a tiny bit of silicon in the bottom of the rout at the ends and let it sit for a bit while i get organised to glue the board on....
need to get off my ass and make up my fretboard gluing jig...
will get onto that this week....
in the meantime ill do it like i always do it... which is a pain in my a$$
headstock
will clean it up tomorrow and then i might get onto the body
Ps, dadovfor is a pain in the butt

LOLLLLLLLl
how the HELL do i make a pdf?????????????
oh oh ohhh!!!! FINE PRINT?!?!?!?!?!
your getting cheeky haha...
and yes... the more guitars i build the quicker i will get
im thinking of doing a new neck though since that bit of mahogany is a bit gay...
i thought i could get rid of that knot but turns out it extends into the under side of the neck....
we will see if it dissapears during the neck shaping...

alright....
was busy today...
(and i'll put captions above the pics for dadovfor )
i took the neck out of clamps and trimmed up the sides of the fretboard...
done
grab one of the circullar saws and cut off some wood (wood i will use to make other stuff in the future) (and i hate using circullar saws.... dangerous lil ba$tards )
the next rough cut
and the next (notice i clamped the neck back down..wasnt sure about the titebond drying time, and the extreme heat had me worried..)
get out my double sided tape and find my template... make sure its right and stick it on the body.... and get my router with bearing bit....
slow passes (very slow around the horns... learnt my lesson last time)
and we are done (well i am)

body/neck, flash/no flash
and thats pretty much where i left it today....
just shaving the back of the neck down... will finish that tomorrow and get ready to rout the neck pocket, once the pockets done i will probably set the neck and get onto cavity routing, pup routing and bridge placement....
gotta go buy a barrel jack and some pots and a switch.... looks like this one will have 2 humbuckers...
will have to remember to drill the wiring channel before i set the neck...
hmm i have some thinking to do
oh and.... TODAY WAS STINKING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
holy crap....
