My First Build a Weissenborn
Thanks Mark, it will not be easy, but as one x australian prime minister once said, life was not meant to be easy, always makes me laugh when rich people
make comments like that.
I look forward to this build and I will get there with a bit of help, then I will have to learn how to play it, I might have to live to 100.
Cheers Bob.

Good on you Bob ... I look forward to seeing the pictures.
And I know you don't have much experience with timber so feel free to ask me anything that you might be confused about.

Good onya Bob for taking the plunge.

My First Build a Weissenborn
G'Day Michael, Its actually called a Weissenborn I made a mistake in spelling when I started the thread. Type in weissenborn in google look for a few youtube videos and listen. It really is a beautiful sounding instrument, it's going to be a long slow build, but thats Ok I am not going anywhere.
Cheers Bob.

My First Build a Weissenborn
Hi dadovfor, my Weissenborn will be very similar in shape to the photo you posted, but thats where it ends, I will be using some of my special private stash stored away for a rainy day. I will be building this build with high figured fiddleback blackwood that has been air drying 12 years. and I will add a few extra touch's . I am thinking about beautiful pure musk burl on the headstock, now very rare, I will work on a few idea before I finish.
But I do know the whole instrument will be built with 100% Tasmanian tone woods.
Cheers Bob
