    Nice work Jeff.
I like the blackwood stripes. Good rich blackwood colours.
It will look great with a finish.

Bob, do you have room for the wood working in your shed yet?

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Andy, there is heaps of links out there for Weissenborns once you start looking.
Now when you get the chance send me a private e-mail, and give me some info how you load the large photos on to the forum that you do.
As I will have my billet resawn by the end of this week at last.
    Cheers Bob.

Thanks for the offer Stu, but The resaw I will be using will only have a blade with a 1 ml kerf so I will get really high recovery.
So I should be able to get 2 sets per 25 mm.
I will post photos of resawing and sets.
    Cheers Bob

Default My First Build a Weissenborn

I finally managed to resaw my sets for my weissenborn build.
I am thinking about an idea Rick Turner posted in the australia new zealand luthier forum.
That is soundhole on the Audience side port,a built in tuner, hipshot D-tuners on the highest & lowest strings, and a D-Tar wavelength multisource pickup.
Photo attached resawn sets for backs and soundboard.
    Cheers Bob.

Well the next stage can begin, thanks to John, I picked up the plans today that
he was kind enough to lend me. But what a laugh when I spoke to him on the phone this morning to ask for directions to his place, he asked me if I was fit as he said that I would have to park at his gate as his driveway was muddy and he said it was about a 100 metre walk, don't know where he got his tape measure. as I reckon it was over 500 metres straight up a mountain.
    I must be getting old.
Well next stage is building the template and mold looking forward to that.
    Regards Bob,
