This will be interesting.....
I think there needs to be some rule to stop Andrew going for a month without sleeping. That puts him at an unfair advantage over those of us who need a few hours sleep each day.Whatever note you blow youre never more than a semitone away from the correct one....(Miles Davis)

I think a month without sleeping is just what's needed to slow him down, then
in creep all those stupid mistakes that happen when the mind keeps wanting to shut down.
I'm wondering if Andrew B has any truckies in his family supplying him with a
steady supply of 'eye-openers'.

Once this starts, would it be worth starting separate threads? Andy B's Challenge Build; Aussie's Challenge Build; etc. Just so's it's a little easier to keep track of.
And will there be one titled: Floody's Challenge Build??

You guys sure need a lot of parts, Im still deciding whether I want frets or not or whether its a fiddle or a guitar. There are a couple of indulgences if I may. The Rose Myrtle may still be too wet, I reserve the right to use other timber if it is. The other is that I have some Ebony pending. If that arrives it will be the fingerboard and bridge,

I think separate builds.
I would love to join this but sadly all my parts wont be ready in time. Im still waiting for my body and have only just started looking at fretboards. so all i have is the wood for the neck, and my pups and bridge came yesterday. Im mighty happy with them too. Look very good quality. I will start one for my build but unfortunately prob a week or so too late for this challenge

Personally, I reckon you should be able to start up to the 29th June. If you start late, more pressure

Hi all,
I must send my appologies for not participating in this. Unfortunatley I will be away for 4 of the 8 weeks, and will not be in a position to build anything new in the first 4. I will keep an eye on everyone's progress and will enjoy watching the contest unfold.
Only one guitar Andrew? Losing form I think.
Cheers,
Peter
