Cherry - NSW Grown
First of all, this is my first post, though I have been lurking for a while and I must say I have been picking up some great info!
My question is, has anyone had experience with Cherry grown in southern NSW for solid bodies etc? I note from this post:

that it is indeed the fruit variety that can be used for musical instruments.

cherry is not widely used but it is certainly suitable for a solid body guitarray c
dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

Thanks Ray, a friend of a friend who is in Young has promised me some from his property so will be interesting to see what turns up.
Next need to find out how to store it!
