    Default Another cigar box guitar

Well I had a few spare minutes over the last couple of weekends and set about using one of the cigar boxes I bought some time ago. Had some laminated tassie oak laying around and some more tassie Myrtle. Bit of glue and head scratching and it’s done!

Wow! love it. That is magic Cal. That photo unfortunately or fortunately opens up more questions and thoughts for me. I am going to take your advice and just absorb all this great information I have to process while I get my head around the best way to plan mine.

The first thing I need to do is to get a Compartment box to put all the spare parts in. I have a few from my old Pen Making days that I have moved on from. I bought a bridge and nut from China a few months ago and I have no idea where it is now, all because MY FORWARD PLANNING was non existent.

Note to self. Get your act together and refocus on the job ahead. Being retired often leads you to a loss of focus.

Cal. Are the two knobs for show or do they serve a purpose. That is a great build.

I replied to your pm but to let the world know, they are volume and tone pots.

Thanks John, I surprised myself with how quick I started and finished it, only a couple of broken weekends to get it done!

Thank you! I know what you mean, I have just hit a hurdle with time. Now doing 12 hour shifts at work, it’s knocking me around.
