bob,
Looks like it should have plenty sound from that dish.
I would not have had huon on my list for neck woods but I guess if you have a reasonably thick fret board in something hard you will get away with it on a 3 string.

John

Man that is the strangest tape measure I ever seen. Granted I don't get out much but is that metric? I'm very much a relational kind of guy... So I would need to relate one of those marks to either 1/128, 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 or I would be lost. In finding more and more mechanical stuff is metric now. So if I have the option I buy old stuff that's built to last and has standard replacement parts.

100 mm =4'', 1''=25mm, 10 centemeters = 100mm,1000mm=1metre ,resonator is about 10'' wide, hope that helps....bob

I went to school in the 60tes as the changeover to metric was happening. Most people my age are quite comfortable with both systems. A good tip however is to build the entire project in one or the other but not both. Most younger people dont know what an inch is. A foot is on the end of your leg and you grow plants in a yard. As for rod, pole or perch who cares, and a chain is 1/10 of a nautical mile.

A correction to my measurements list. A cable is 1/10 of a nautical mile. A chain is only 66 feet.
I also stick with inches for scale length as the other way is just numbers. I always use imperial for the whole CBG build for that reason. I can work fine in metric but don,t visualize in metric as well as imperial. Any time I buy a tape I look for one that has both.
