We are given our relations, thank God we can choose our friends.
An inscription on an ash tray from the days when smoking was acceptable. Jesus that's showing my age.

You have finally built something. Good work roger. :D
See if the neighbours will let you use their carport :D
Hey Cliff
How do you avoid the snipe with the router table as a jointer design you have? I've been battling with a similar setup using an aluminium fence.

I'm in Hawai'i for a 2 week holiday at present.
I scored a bookmatched pair of Koa boards today.
They are each about 400mm long by about 140mm wide & about 4mm thick.
They are safely wrapped in paper in my suitcase. :D
I'll get a photo of them when I get home.
pity about the workshop stuation but i guess being in hawaii you dont care :U
I'll be home Tuesday, might have to move out into the driveway.
Home again, caught up with a few things, set up shop in the car garage again, this time I'm doing the sanding out side.
Before I went to Hawaii, I called in at home & grabbed a couple of things I needed for this project.
The Dead Finish I had for the fret boards was too green when I cut it to size & thickness sanded it.... it warped badly. :(
I grabbed some very dry New Guinea Rosewood & cut that to size & thickness sanded it.
I also cut up some perspex to make some fret cutting templates.
NGR in the pic is 40mm x 550mm x 5.8mm I have 4 pieces incase I bugger one or two up along the way.
The Perspex is 70mm x 560mm x 5.8mm
Here is a pic of the Koa that I got in Hawaii.
It isn't for this build.
Book matched pair, each piece is 153mm x 485mm x 2.7mm
Bit of progress.
Last time I went home I grabbed some perspex to make a fret cutting template.
I also grabbed a couple of my bottles of U-beaut water dye.
The brown stain was mixed by adding a bit of Orange to Cedar.
The Cedar comes out purple on some timber.
