deep yellow wood as a soundboard??
Hi again,
I have recently heard of a timber called "deep yellow wood", used as soundboard. Has anyone ever heard of this or can comment on this,.? Apparently it is grow in Queensland.

a bit more delving into this timber, it's also known as "tulip satinwood". Apparently used for sides and back of guitars. Haven't found anything on soundboards yet. Grown in North East NSW and South East Queensland.

Rhodosphaera rhodanthema. I've seen it used for back and sides and necks but not as a top wood.

I have seen it used on ukulele 's tops as a soundboard but not on larger bodies Have to be careful of hairline cracking in dry areas and due to added stress on soundboard can be a reason it's not used.
