Hi R3R,
For timber binding I usually sand down the binding such that it is ever so slightly wider than the rebate to seat the binding, which is normally about 1.5mm thick and then bend the binding as shown. I wipe on a couple of thinned coats of blonde shellac onto the body on the regions adjacent to the binding where I don't want glue to penetrate, and once the binding is glued on, I then scrape the binding and excess glue flush with the body.
Cheers,
Peter

Very nice ... there's some really clean lines there
But ... isn't the guitar resting on one of those silicone mats that many builders loop out about 'cos it can affect the inegrity of your finish?

Great looking instrument Peter I really love the way you made the heal fit snug to the body.

Seriously cool build Pete. Have you got any pics of Dan's guitar yet? Is it finished? And how about the Fireball? Or are you getting distracted by the zebrawood?

Hi Holly,
Dan's guitar and the fireball are still hanging in the garage. Wasn't 100% happy with the finish on the back of the fireball guitar, and Dan's I accidentally put a ding in the top after I buffed it . So I am going to touch up the finish on those two when I spray the zebrawood.
Cheers,
Peter
