    Default Flame maple LP top?

It's probably been asked before, but does anyone know of a local supplier of (Big Leaf) maple I can use for a bookmatched Les Paul top? Preferably flamed about 14mm thick. I got some from a USA supplier last time (3d hardwoods) but I can't seem to find them now. I want to stick with the original '59 body timber recipe for this one (my 2nd LP) before I give Aussie timbers a go.

I have a nice piece of Flamed Queensland Maple
I've had it sitting in the shed for about 4 years, but haven't bookmatched it as i don't have a bandsaw, yet
Its 26mm thick, so when bookmatched, it will probably end up about 12mm thick per side
Let me know if you're interested, and I'll post a picture

Wow dayvo, that was a quick reply! I am keen to try Australian timbers once I get the LP out of the way, but not just yet. I do want to go with the original concept; US/Canadian maple top on this one. After that I will feel properly blooded (figuratively speaking) and will be more adventurous with the next ones.
    Many thanks, Ken

    No worries
The link below is an american site, but you'll probably find the shipping costs as much as the timber

Other than that try Perry Ormsby

    Try Perry,
He has boards for sale. Not sure about the thickness you're after, but you can always ask
