Fluorocarbon Strung Archtop Tenor Guitar
A bit of fun. Cedar top, QLD Maple back, sides and neck. Wilga fretboard and bridge. 505mm string length using "Black Magic" fluorocarbon leaders. Finish is Bote Cote with TruOil glaze.
Great to play, I'm still messing with the setup and intonation. I've built it as lightly as I could so the soundboard is only 16 mm high, 3mm in the centre and just under 2mm st the recurve. It seems to have plenty of volume for my living room. I did put a piezo pickup in there but it desperately needs a preamp."We must never become callous. Thanks, It's denser then nylon and can take more tension. So it sounds a bit like halfway between nylon and steel strings. That said it's not as loud as steel but louder then nylon. It's much easier on the fingers then steel and there is no dermatitis )

Very pretty shape mate, strings sound interesting as after my next two steels I am aiming at a few nylons.
