fretwire blues
I've got a rather nice old Gibson mandolin that's in need of a refret. The fretwire on it has a crown width of about 1.52 to 1.54mm and I just don't seem to be able to find anything that even approximates this size.
Does anybody know where I can get fretwire with a width of 1.5 to 1.6mm?
(I haven't tried Gibson yet)

Hi Paul,
Pickies please... What kind of mando?
Here are the local options http://luthierssupplies.com.au/produ...products_id=95 and http://guitarwoods.com.au/catalog/pr...roducts_id=258, I have a length that Im sure came from ALS and it is 1.52mm. If you luck out, PM me.
You will find vintage Gibson mando gurus aplenty on the Mandozine forum."We must never become callous. When we experience the conflicts ever more deeply we are living in truth. The quiet conscience is an invention of the devil." - Albert Schweizer
