Default New Guinea Rosewood Tele builds

These are 2 Thinlines I started a long time ago before I went silly and started to build a house. I am doing these builds in between housebuilding and full time drafting so it might be a slow one!

No. 1 is a double cutaway thinline
Quilted NG rosewood - 3 pices
    Chambered body: Quilted NG rosewood
Back: Bookmatched NG rosewood (ex wide floorboards)

No. 2 is a std Tele shape thinline
Top and Back: Bookmatched NG rosewood (ex wide floorboards)
Chabbered body: Funiture grade red gum with the odd feature

Neck on no.2 will be 22 fret Strat neck with re-shaped Tele headstock.
Neck on no.1 could be same as no.1 but I am concerned about the look of the bolt on.
I am leaning toward making a set neck but I'm open to suggestions on that one!

    cheers...Wayne

Nice looking bodies. I didn't know you could get quilted NGR. Where did you source it? if you don't mind me asking?

Look forward to seeing more progess.

    Cheers,

I got it from a place called "Teak and Fancy Timbers" on the Gold Coast.
They have closed down now unfortunately.
It doesn't look like any other NGR I have but smells the same when being sanded! BTW any Idead what causes 'Quilting''? Sounds like it doesn't happen in every type of timber

    cheers...Wayne
