go down to matthews timber in vermont and buy an 8x2x metre of southern myrtle or fiji mahogany - pick a nice light board - its around the same price as dar vic ash which also makes a good resonant body - any decent stick of hardwood as long as it is'nt too dense and heavy will make a nice guitar -
