Default small guitar screws. Where do you get em?

    Short question,

Where do you guys buy your small screws from?
I've just spent all morning ringing wholesalers and sellers and they have "nothing that small"

    looking for
countersunk 2.6mm x 16 mm (to mount string pullers on neck)
    Raised countersunk 2.9 x 12 for pickguard
Raised countersunk 2.9 x 25 for guitar strap holders.

    Thanks Peter

Ebay. I bought about 5 bags of 50 pickguard screws in different colours. Can't remember what I paid but it was dirt cheap. About $3 a bag I think

You can get the pick guard strap holder screws on ebay but I had to go to Stewmac to get the machinehead screws.

They have them in packs of 100 in 5 different flavours.
They aren't countersink screws, just pan head in philips of slotted.

If you only needed a few, I could send you some but I won't be anywhere near my stash for a couple of weeks.
    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Thanks Cliff but these aren't for the machine heads.
I have those little posts to hold down the top 2 strings.
Put in the one that came with it but the top broke off on the last turn.

I know some parts are available on ebay but they always take 2 weeks to get here.

There must be someone in aus that has them before I go looking overseas (although they would have got the stock OS anyway).

Maybe try an electronics store tomorrow before I head to ebay.

    Thanks guys

String trees is what they are called.

Go & have a look in the small screw section at Masters.

Try also, the box makers hardware supplies.

    Hi Stan,
Are you there for a look around or will you be at a stand?
I'm doing the first 2 hrs on the friday at the WWF stand then was going for a walk around myself after that.

I managed to get some small screws for headstock hardware from hinge packets in bunnings, I think they were hinges for jewellery boxes or something similar and only a couple of dollars for the pack (8 in there from memory). Might be worth checking out if you need something in a hurry

I also have the post for pumice powder at the moment and was directed to Goods and Chattels for it.
While there on the site I also found the raised CSk screws there.
