a mate of mine is making this beauty ATM, will have a darker timber between a hairy oak bottom as well

Ι love it (visually) that it's so thin, but don't know anything about guitars. Does it change the sound or the functionality somehow?

the body shown on the table is only the top there is a hairy oak bottom and the walnut in the centre
