where to buy a fretboard
hey there, this is my first time on these forums.
i'm half way through building my electric 6 string for a year12 project, and i'm stuck and cant go any further without getting a fretboard.
i'm looking at rosewood most likely, the neck is maple.
preferably i want one thats pre-slotted, as i dont know if my skills are up to scratch to do my own, and pre-radiused.
does anyone know of any suppliers for this type of thing in melbourne?
thanks

isn't that kind of cheating to buy one if its for a year 12 project?

The measurements are important, but in reality even a perfectly fretted board is only as good as the finger holding down the strings. I have found that even using a 600mm ruler I can get good enough measuring results. A rosewood fretboard blank will set you back 15-20 bucks, its worth having a go yourself, I thinkCheers!Mongrel

If youre going to cut the fret slots yourself then buy at least two blanks...dont ask me why!!!
