    Default hot pink?!??

hey all just curious... i've got a friend who's buying an unfinished fender P Bass body an wants me to paint/finish it for him.. he wants if Hot pink opaque finish? i told him i could do it for him but wondering wer or how i might get hot pink? i told him i could easily get a white an red waterbase color for waterbase laquer from stew mac to mix a pink but i imagine i wouldnt be able to get a 'Hot' pink?

any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. plan on using waterbased laquer.

Was it Stu who uses sample wb paint pots under lacquer and/or nitro? There'd be a fair bit more choice there ... but I expect you'll only get a true hot pink in an auto paint or similar.

That was old picker's suggestions on that one, Davidov.
I haven't used WB sample pots before but many have on the TDPRI forum.

    My take is this........

Whatever base colour it is , it can be diluted into your first few clear coats as a transparent overlay and then sealed over with straight clear afterwards.

that was me - you can get any colour in any of the major paint co's cattle dog
i'm sure they will have hot pink - even if there isnt with their computer thingies thay can mix anything you want - you might have to go back a couple times to get the right intensity - i am doing a surf green body right now and i can tell you those colours can be intense - way cheaper than stewmac option

hot pink ?? why not you'd have to be ready for a few hoots and wolf wistles when ever you walk out with a hot pinkie
