Best info on violin making
My son, who had done woodwork for a few years now, is keen to make a violin for his year 12 Design and Technology course.
What is the best single reference taking a keen student from start to finish?

Johnson and Courtnal's "The Art of Violin Making" is a good reference. Its not cheap but its a comprehensive text. I dont build violins but I have the book in my bookcase and have read it through and would recommend it.
