    heres my progress on my very first build -maple neck through
    -narra sides
    -rosewood board


    i glued the sides today so ill post the pics soon !

    Default binding ?

    gday there fella,
    saw you fretting up your twelve string on your latest update id love to put some timber binding around the fretboard of my bass, could you maybe help me in this area as i have no idea where to start ? thanks

    Nice start there, Josh. And welcome to the forum

    I'll try and put a quick tutorial with pics about binding fretboards/headplates and thicknessing your own bindings with a router. I'll dig through some of my old pics.

    Hi,

    Very cool neck through you got going there. I was wonder what kind of timber narra is? When it comes to binding, oz is your man. He is the king of accent lines and tidy laminations. Well worth taxing some of his ideas.
