    Looking good again man.
I had a go at it today. I dipped a couple of test pieces. I used fluro green, fluro orange and white..When i dipped the body, i didnt have enuf paint in there so there isnt heaps of swirling. I think i might redip it next weekend with more colours. Definately a cool look but

Glad to hear you are having a go at it. I've done more research and I cut the borax mix way down to see what would happen and today's result gave me some indications.

So today, water temp. 20C, used a ratio of 1 and a half tablespoons of borax to every 10 litres. I had the water temp at 25C when I put the borax in a stirred like mad, then I left it for about 20 mins and it had cooled down to 20C, it was cold here today so it was bound to cool fast.

Darker colors take a little longer to spread in the water, so I always add them first. This Jem body also had grey primer and white matt top coat.

There is an art to this, although my first thoughts were that it was going to be really easy....ha how wrong I was.

Anyway, hope some of this info is useful to you, looking forward to seeing what you turn out...!!!

Ha...yeah sometimes you get all sorts of bizzare patterns.

It's just something to do when you've got a plain looking guitar body that has no grain to speak of.
