Jigs
Hi guys,
I would love to build an accoustic guitar but i am not sure where to start. I know i need jigs but i am not sure where to get them from can someone help??

Hi Roger,
You can get by with a minimum of jigs. Alot of jigs are simply making a manual job easier or more accurate. if you want to keep it simple then the main jig you'll need is either a guitar mold or a workboard depending on which method of construction you use (Spanish or mold method)
I build using the Spanish method so my most used jig is my workboard.
My second most used "jig" is my go bar deck....I use it constantly when gluing up. An easy jig to build using just hand tools.
Pic 1: My go bar deck. The go bars are 9mm hoop pine. Fibreglass rod is better but it costs more.
