Koa Concert Travel Ukule
Koa body, 15" scale. Mahogany neck. Purpleheart fingerboard and bridge. MOP dots. Corian saddle and nut.

Thanks for the comments. Sadly no plans, I just made the body out of what little Koa I had (offcuts) and then applied the scale length to it, made smaller bridge with no side wings, fewer internal braces due to the size and there it is. No jigs or formers needed for the body.

It looks nice. How is it for sound with that small body?
I am at present working on a cigar box guitar to learn the basics with a view to building a uke later. I have been looking at various shapes that dont require hot bending. That looks doable and a quite pleasing shape also.

I am building another Koa uke, again from scraps. This is in a Gothic arch shape, to fit the front and back. Heat bent but simple. I have just glued in the tail block and (non kerfed) kerfing today. Photo tomorrow hopefully as well as a thinline concert uke in mahogany with a cedar top.
