Neil from Grouse Guitars is getting Moody Amps going again. A fellow up in northern Tas makes valve amps. There is a bloke in Nth Fitzroy who repairs, can't say if he builds any to sell.
This is a good site:

Martstone is the tassie guy's outfit. Contact for him down the page.

Yep, there's a Yahoo group as well. Btw, you just missed the Windsor amp fest.
I guess you'll have to wait till next year now.
I don't know what you are after in a valve amp, but if it's a cheap introduction to the ins and out of them (like me) then one of these is well worth a look

It's actually a rebadged Epiphone Valve Junior. Cool little amp and there are pages and pages of mods available for it on the net.
You can make it sound like a Marshall, Fender or Vox depending on a few resistor and capacitor changes. It's a great intro to valve amps and you couldn't buy the parts separately for less than the total cost of the amp.
Highly recommended.

I have an Epiphone junior I bought over here. When I opened up I found it has a multi voltage power tranny. So when I come back to Australia..... switch a couple of wires and presto! 240v Obviously it was more cost efficient for them to use the multi voltage than to use different trannys for the US, AUS, ASIA and EU markets. As the power inlet is the standard computer/kettle type, swapping the cord over is no problem either.

I know Ray (old picker) definitely knows his ins and outs of amps.
He brought his 40w blues watchamakallit fender amp around
to my place and............... shock and awe ..........I've never heard a better sounding amp yet. He's tweaked the speakers to his specific requirements and it's amazing.
He's all fender and I've been all Marshall up til then.
It's funny how you hear something and it shifts your whole perspecrive.
Thanks Ray. Still saving the pennies.
Cheers, Stu

It wouldn't surprise me if Ray was looking at building his own variation.
He's a pretty intuitive kinda guy.

Ray, what sort of parts would you need to sacrifice?
I have a fair few NOS parts left over from a 5F6A and 5F1 build.
I will be in Melbourne in early December too.
